We partner with Better Cotton to improve cotton farming globally. Better Cotton's mission is to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment. Better Cotton is sourced via a system of mass balance and is not physically traceable to end products. Johnny Bigg are committed to sourcing 50% of our cotton as Better Cotton by 2026.

In line with US legislation, Johnny Bigg has banned the use of cotton from the Zinjiang region in our products. The purpose of this legislation is the reduce the risk of cotton being produced by forced labour.
LINEN
Linen is biodegradable and made from flax plant fibres making it a sustainable raw material option which currently represents about 5% of our raw material usage.
We have currently traced 100% of our Raw Linen to the area in which it was grown. At present this is all located in France and Belgium. We are committed to continually tracing all of our raw linen.
POLYESTER
The apparel industry emits almost 10% of Global Green House Gas Emissions. This is particularly driven by synthetic fibres like polyester.
We are committed to further increasing our use of certified recycled polyester so that by 2025, 50% of our polyester will be recycled. Polyester represents about 20% of Johnny Bigg raw material usage per annum.
VISCOSE
Viscose also represents about 6% of our raw material usage and we are planning on introducing Eco Vero Viscose.
